International contacts

As a part of the Mission Covenant Church of Sweden we also take part in the inetrnational work of the church. There is an international comittee in the district and we are active in the international activities of MCC. Sometimes we have visitors from different countries. Some local churches have their own contacts as well in other countries. We try to inform om other countries and missions in different ways, such as missionary visits, expositions etc.

Through our Sámi work we also have contacts with indigenous churches and groups in a number of countries. We have had visitors from e.g. Burma, USA and China. The last mentioned country has many indigenous peoples and we have worked with an exchange between Sámi and Lisu. This has given us a good contact with the church in the Yunnan Province.

Another major event has been the organisation of World Christian Gathering of Indigenous People in Kiruna, which we were a part of (2005). Also this has given many good contacts

We also cooperate with European Christian Mission  International in the Malmfälten Area and in the Sámi work.
